INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW 2017 FORD ESCAPE

Canadians love their compact sport utility vehicles, so it’s no wonder that the segment is growing at an incredible pace right now. It’s also not surprising that every automaker – or almost every automaker – currently offers a compact SUV. At the top of the segment, however, is one model that continually stands out both in terms of sales and general reputation: the 2017 Ford Escape.

Tremendous Value in the 2017 Ford Escape
Starting at less than $25,000, the 2017 Ford Escape is a compact SUV that offers you more for less. Indeed, Ford Escape buyers can get a wide range of impressive features depending on the version or trim they opt for. Features like SiriusXM satellite radio, a heated steering wheel, power tailgate with hands-free access, remote keyless entry, leather seats, SYNC 3 infotainment, front and rear heated seats, reverse sensing, standard windshield wiper de-icer, and a host of driver assistance technologies are just a few examples.
And then there is the engine lineup. Point blank, it is one of the most impressive engine lineups in the compact SUV segment.
Three Engines Offered in the 2017 Ford Escape
The 2017 Ford Escape gets a standard 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Next up is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine that offers 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. That’s not bad for such a small-displacement engine. The turbocharger certainly helps up the power levels, but buyers also benefit from it  in the fuel economy department with its average fuel economy rating of just 9.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
Last, but certainly not least, is the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost unit that offers 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. That’s a lot of power, and yet this engine has an average fuel economy rating of just 9.4 liters per 100 kilometers!
Inside, buyers get 964 liters of cargo space with all seats in place, and the 2017 Escape’s towing capacity can reach 1,587 kilos – one of the best tow ratings in the segment.
